Happy Sunday, hope you’re getting shit done AND that this email sparks your mind to step into an amazing week ahead. I tend to really struggle writing content posts as I have so much to say but only have 2200 characters to say it in. Today is no different but I just wanted to share this one quote that I stumbled upon in the book Limitless, by Jim Kwik. It’s all about getting your mind to work better and faster, so that you can learn more and implement more into your life. “He who asks questions cannot avoid the answers.” – Cameroon Proverb The reason I love this quote and I wanted to share it with you, is because I think it explains really well why many people simply never see the results they desire. See most people don’t achieve what they want, because they don’t ask the right questions. Sometimes they just don’t even ask. Asking is similar to taking action, sometimes it’s the exact same thing. But if we don’t begin to wonder… Start to poke around… Peek our head out… We’ll never begin. And most people never finish, because they never even started. Which makes sense; it’s not acceptable, but it does make sense. Same reason why in a classroom people are scared to raise their hands. They don’t want to ask a dumb question and look stupid or be judged in front of the rest of the class. they don’t know if anyone else is struggling like they are, has the same problems they do, or is confused like they are. Sounds a lot like a full grown adult trying to lose fat, doesn’t it…? Not wanting to open up because they fear judgement of others. Not wanting to share their struggles because transparency is uncomfortable. Not wanting to talk about it because they feel like they’re alone in the way they feel or the roadblocks they’re facing. And in all reality, none of that’s true – it’s all just false narratives created in our minds as a way to avoid asking for help or taking action, because when we do either of those things we step into discomfort. If you don’t ask the question, you’ll never have the answer, if you don’t take the leap, you’ll never see the outcome. So ask yourself this today, before you get into the rat race of your week… WHAT ARE YOU FAILING TO ASK OR NOT TAKE ACTION ON? AND HOW IS THAT STOPPING YOU FROM REACHING THE OUTCOME(S) YOU DESIRE? Take this seriously; winners always do. ComFit Fitness PS. Better yet, start by asking yourself WHAT those outcomes are and WHY you want them so bad, along with HOW you’ll feel when you reach them! Because with that visualization in your mind, the first 2 questions become 10x more powerful and you will be 10x more brutally honest with yourself. |
